Vancouver to Whistler - How Long Does It Take?

Please note that the times listed below are based on following speed limits and normal traffic. Increased traffic, such as that caused by the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games and Whistler 2010 venues may increase the posted times:

Downtown Vancouver to Whistler
124km - 1 hour 51 minutes

YVR - Vancouver International Airport to Whistler BC Canada
135 km - 2 hours 6 minutes

We suggest that you leave an additional hour or two in your schedule to deal with snow conditions, highway traffic, Vancouver traffic and road closures when travelling from Whistler to Vancouver Airport (YVR).

For the most up-to-date information visit: http://www.drivebc.ca and click on "By Route" Under Events & Conditions on the left hand side of the site. Choose Highway 99 and you will have the most accurate information.

Tuning into Mountain FM is always a good idea when travelling Highway 99, often referred to as "The Sea to Sky Highway". Mountain FM can be found at 107.1 on your FM dial starting at Horseshoe Bay through to Whistler. Visit http://www.mountainfm.com for details.

One more thing: Make sure you have winter tires for your trip to to Whistler in the Winter months and always watch your speed!

Safe Travelling!
